HYPERTENSION

  • Lower Blood Pressure
  • Increase Calm
  • Confidently Manage Stress

About Hypertension
Left untreated, high blood pressure will gradually continue to rise over a person=s life span. This rise puts all organs at progressive risk for damage. As a result, hypertensive patients are at greater and greater risk of:

  • Heart disease (congestive heart failure, heart attack, sudden cardiac death)
  • Stroke
  • Hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis)
  • Aneurysm
  • Kidney failure
  • Retinopathy (loss of vision)

High blood pressure is also a major factor in memory loss, wrinkling of the skin, impotence and decreased sexual response in women.

Stress and Hypertension
Stress is one of the major contributors to increased blood pressure. Doctors generally recommend stress management as part of hypertension treatment, but this is easier said than done. Relaxation and imagery training has been shown to be very effective, but it is difficult if not impossible for doctors to teach this to patients during regular office visits.

Exercise: The Myth of AJust Do It@
Many people experience exercise as a painful austerity, especially they are told they Ashould@ do it. In these cases, resistance to exercise is a normal and healthy way to express autonomy and self respect. Hypnotherapy helps you create a positive experience of exercise, an experience of enjoyment, freedom, strength and control.

Diet: AI Can=t Eat That!@
Poor diet and lack of exercise are important contributors to hypertension. Doctors generally recommend dietary modification, but it is very difficult for many people to create changes that will support lowering of blood pressure. Hypnotherapy can support you to adopt, and enjoy, healthier eating patterns and habits. Hypnotherapy helps you eat healthier without feeling deprived.

Multi-Disciplinary Approach
Medical treatment is more useful as part of a multi-disciplinary approach to treating hypertension. This approach includes

  • Proper nutrition
  • Regular exercise
  • Deep relaxation
  • Positive mental imagery
  • Reduction of nervous system reactivity

How Hypnotherapy Can Help
The hypnotherapy program for hypertension support is non-invasive and is designed to be used in conjunction with your physician’s treatment regime.

This hypertension therapy program is a specific sequence of sessions designed to retrain the autonomic nervous system and the smooth muscles of arteries. It is a multi-session program that focuses on:

  • Release of anxiety and tension
  • Improvement of the body=s ability to regulate blood pressure
  • Motivation for healthy eating
  • Motivation you for exercise

While conventional medical treatments are often effective for treating hypertension, many people experience unpleasant side effects from medication. Often, the side effects are so unpleasant, that people skip doses or discontinue medication altogether.

Hypnotherapy can help lower blood pressure, decrease the amount of medication required, thus decrease unpleasant side effects. In some cases, people are able to manage their blood pressure without the use of any medication, simply with hypnotherapy, relaxation, diet and exercise.

Hypnotherapy combined with conventional medicine produces remarkable results in long lasting symptom alleviation

The Hypertension treatment program designed to be used in conjunction with your physician(s) and is not intended as a replacement for conventional medical diagnosis and treatment.LIFE BEYOND PAIN
